When we first met in January 2016 we were surprised how aligned our future plans were. We both wanted to go on many more adventures and keep exploring the world for as long as it makes us happy. We agreed that we would set sail in 5 years time to cruise the world even though neither of us had any sailing experience.

 

We used the last 5 years until January 2021 to get used to each other and enjoy life. We took some sailing lessons, found a boat, left our jobs and sold everything which would not fit on board of our Lagoon 40.  We named the boat Kwilena which means Dolphin in Aboriginal language.

 

 

The past before we met:

 

Caroline: Born 1963 in Switzerland, proud mum of Jake and Dylan, immigrated to Australia in 1991, travelled extensively with work and privately, loves family life, all outdoor activities and also enjoyed her work.

 

Sven: Born 1967 in Germany, proud father of a son called Mirian. Immigrated to Australia  in 1999, travelled extensively, loved his work and flying his hang glider and paraglider.
